In acknowledgement of the dangerous nature of working within a trench, this course addresses the competency required to safely install trench support in a variety of circumstances and locations within the civil construction industry.
Participants will require basic written and spoken English skills to understand Australian Standards and undertake the assessment tasks associated with this unit; and will also need to have the physical capacity to undetake the practical components of the unit. This course is most suited to those working within operational roles or supervisory roles within the civil construction, plumbing or tele-communication industries, council/roadwork maintenance crews.

The training program involves attendance and participation at a one day workshop.
